SInce I love Death Valley, I enjoy the author's writing, as it brings back memories of places I've visited and enjoyed so much. There are scattered errors here and there throughout the book, but they are small, and not detrimental to the tale. I could see that it might seem dry (pun intended), as there is a lot of natural history writing in it, but to me, that's interesting. If that wasn't a reader's interest, I wouldn't recommend this book. If one does like that sort of writing, it's very enjoy ...more
