I Read
A good book to dip in a out of, but not for reading from cover to cover.

It contained some interesting history, although many of the word origins were straight forward and therefore not very engaging for the reader.

I'd say the author did a good job of making it relevant to both British and American readers without this attempt being overt and annoying.

One problem of course with etymology, is one can never be quite sure how accurate an explanation is. I trust Morton did thorough research, but whe...more
