This is the second issue of AL that I've gotten to participate in, and need to review both of them. I'm not a good poetry reviewer, but I'll try.
I think the poems that gave me 'most pause' were the
Christina Strong poems because they seem the oddest
or most strangely wrought which is sort of my thing.
They also use language which consciously 'goes in under the radar' so to speak. And these are also what I would call
examples of a new 'grotesque turn' in poe More...

AL #2 proves the launch was no fluke; this whale’s going places, with bongsmoke trailing out the blow hole. The new new American poetry, hot off the stapler and boxed like a pizza just 4 u.
