Great science writing with a dose of ideology thrown in.

Found it in a book shoprecommends it for: Everyone with an interest in travels and in history of man
I bought this book because I was fascinated by the title and the text on the back of the cover.
I thouht it would be an easy read while abroad, something to cling to in a totally different society.
Well, it turned out to be indeed something to cling to, but it was not an easy read at all. I found it very interesting, the combination of a travel diary and scientific commends or discussions.
The subject, the origin of man and the earth was not something I knew a lot about, so I sometimes f...more
