I am a thirty-something, pretty hip, pretty shapely Californian, and there is not one pattern in this book that I would wear, let alone spend the time knitting. "Sexy" is a misnomer -- "trashy" would be better. I was hoping for some non-dumpy-looking sweaters and flattering garments, and instead I got see-through tops, peek-a-boo swimsuits, and bare midriffs galore. Too many crochet patterns for me to be interested. The knits aren't very exciting.

I bought this book for one pattern, the nightgown towards the end. If I had the body for it, I would wear most of these. As it is, I'll have to resize the nightgown to fit me, and wouldn't dream of sporting the others. This book is meant for those with teeny tiny figures really. It's a good book with good patterns, but not really intended for the "average" woman.

The designs were, indeed, sexy and little and knit. I think it seemed a little weird and slightly impractical though. The yarn weight (or selection) could really kill any of these projects. Mainly, the book is great eye candy.
