I really enjoyed the entire series. I know they're geared more towards teenagers, but these are so well written and thought out that I can't help, but be a little hooked as an adult reading these.
I don't think the gist of the entire plot was obvious to every single reader, but I had mostly everything solved reading the first book. I'm like that, obnoxiously so (my best friend thinks watching Criminal Intent & CSI: NY with me is the most hilarious thing. I solve the entire case in 15 minutes....more

Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you'll save
Better lock it, in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you
Won't tell what I said
Cause two can keep a secret
If one of the m is dead…
so this is it?? this is finally over?
the whole PLL series made my world turn upside down , after i finished reading each book in the series i always come up with my own theories on who is A and who murdered Alison but sadly none of my theories is correct. not even one of them is corre...more

So horrible that I am actually angry I read past the fourth book, which I believe was the original end of this series. I can't imagine this shit continuing for another four books, it has gotten so contrived. Yeah, so ranting about the eighth book in the Pretty Little Liars series is sort of like buying one of those 99 cent frozen pizzas and going "WHY DOES THIS TASTE LIKE NOTHING I DEMAND TO KNOW", but it managed to be sort of witty and relatively thrilling into even the sixth book! I expected b...more

Really guys, read this series! You won't regret it! A great ending to a really good series! I could not stop reading this, even though I was suppose to do other things. You figure out everything, and they tell you what happend when Ali died, who A is and how it all ends. But I didn't like the last page, because it was a cliff hanger! I sit here with sadness, not only because I finished a great series today, but also because it will be weird not reading more secrets, more scandals and more messag...more
Hanna, Aria, Emily, and Spencer find the out the truth about Ali’s murder, and who A is. It turns out that Alison was a twin. Her twin’s name is Courtney. No one ever knew about Courtney because she was sent away to live in a mental hospital since she tried killing Alison. When she came back over a weekend because she was transferring hospitals, she just became Alison. She took over her identity and made everyone believe that she was Alison. So when she had to go back to the hospital, it was rea...more
I wanted to read this book because the front cover was bright, glossy and it looked very convincing. My favourite character in this book was one of the main characters, Alison DiLaurentis, who's very cunning, persuasive and could get anyone to do what she wanted. She is my favorite character because she interests me, as she was the 'boss' and no one could mess with her. She was like 'the' leader and she owned everyone.
My favourite quote from this book was 'you cant run away form the truth.' It...more

This book was a really crazy ride of soap-opera-esque drama, and I honestly enjoyed every second. The twists and turns were endless, and I couldn't put the book down. I honestly can't say anything specific because everything would be a spoiler! Pretty much everything resolves, and it was a wonderful end to the series....which is why I'm confused as to why Sara Shepard has continued the series. The flyleaf of the book says that it is the end of the series. Sara Shepard's acknowledgements at the e...more
The PLL series has a pretty good plot; the whole "my-best-friend-was-murdered-and-now-the-unknown-killer-is-cyber-bullying-us" thing. It's pretty clever, and it's a mystery that you'd want to stay to the end and solve. However, I'm not a fan of the main characters. All they make is mistake after mistake, and it makes you wonder if they really do belong in jail. If I were in their shoes, I'd confess everything to the police, maybe serve a short term sentence, and move far, far away. But of course...more
Wow, the dramatic conclusion to the epic and sizzling series was crazy! First of all, we discover a huge secret about the DiLaurentis family! The girls are equally shocked and try to assimilate to this new developement. The truth comes out more crazy then ever and I as a reader was stunned! The conclusion to this book is very important and many readers have been dying to read how this amazing and addictive series ends. What is funny though is Sara, the author, hints that this may not be the last...more
What did that one spiritiual person mean when she said "Ali killed Ali"? There are so many twists and turns in this book. It's nerve-wracking and intense. Hanna, Spencer, Emily, and Aria assume that they've figured out what happened with their best friend Alison DiLaurentis. However, they're still getting the mysterious notes that are signed -A. They're not as safe as they think they are. Better watch out, there is someone being stalked day by day, minute by minute, and second by second. In fac...more
Wanted is the final novel in the Pretty Little Liars. Sara Shepard’s acknowledgements at the end of the volume indicate this is so. Only, because I am writing in 2012, I know it isn’t the end – there are four more books, inspired no doubt, because of the popularity of the TV series based on her novels. However, we must treat this as the ending of the series, for that it was published as.

In some ways, it's such a shame that the popularity of the Pretty Little Liars television series brought about the plan to write an additional four books, because Wanted is a nerve-wracking, stressful, intense, and sparkling finale to the "A" saga that has plagued "Pretty Little Liars" Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Spencer Hastings, and Emily Fields. The slightly-cliche events of Heartless, the previous book in the series, become something much more sinister here, and red herrings abound as the...more

Back during the days when seventh grade was ending and summer break was beginning for Aria, Spencer, Hanna, Emily, and... Ali, a third DiLaurentis child came to Rosewood – Courtney, Ali's twin sister. Her parents wanted to see if all of Courtney's time in mental hospitals had helped her readjust. If so, she would come home and live with her family for good... only things didn't go as planned. Instead, Ali was murdered, and the DiLaurentises shipped Courtney back to the institution, and no one, e...more
*REALLY, I GIVE THIS BOOK LIKE 3.5 STARS.*
I felt it was pretty boring and slow-paced up until the big revelation (at the end of the book. there's another in the beginning-middle but it didn't throw me off TOO much, and the book quickly got boring again after it). At least compared to past books, it wasn't as thrilling and heart-fastening. It didn't have it's as many of it's "OH MY GOSH!" or "DUN DUN DUN!" moments, that the series is known for. I can say there were probably only about three mome...more

Wow, I am nearly at the end for now of my Pretty Little Liars fix , only one book to go. In Wanted it lead us to the finale of who killed Alison DeLaurentis and readers , you will be shocked - I had heard rumours about who may have killed Ali but reading Wanted , I never expected the shock and the actual circumstances. In Book #8 we meet Ali's twin Courtney who has been away in a psychiatric hospitals or as we discover is it really Courtney or in fact Alison ? We discover that Ali and Courtney u...more
AMAZING!!!! I'm going to try write a review without spoilers, but it's going to be hard. This book has so many twists, it's so fast paced, and gripping, that I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!!! This book is well worth your time. For the past two books I was wondering that maybe this series was becoming a bit of a drag, but this book made my jaw drop.
The main twist that happens near-ish the beginning-middle of the book was a bit far fetched to be honest, but it was believable all the same. I did start to...more

This book is really good and it's the next volume after Heartless, the book that I read before.
Now that Billy Ford, the man who people think killed Ali, is arrested, the four pretty little liars thought they will be happy. But suddenly, Mrs. Dilaurentis, Ali's mom, said to everybody that they had another daughter, which was the twin sister of Ali. The four girls got so surprised and angry at Ali that she didn't tell them. While the girls were now friend with the twin, whose name is Courtney, eve...more

After seven deliciously juicy segments in the Pretty Little Liars saga, I must say I was expecting big things from the final book. Following on from so many cliffhangers and loose ends left untied throughout these books meant that I was immensely looking forward to discovering "the truth" behind what really happened to the beautiful, perfect Alison DiLaurentis. In fact, I even found myself worrying that the book would not manage to live up to my expectations, and I couldn't help hoping that I wo...more
The book, Wanted, from the Pretty Little Liars series written by Sara Shepard, is fantabulous. I had so many favorite parts that I can't just choose one! She had many descriptive passages which lead me to read more and more. She ended every chapter with suspense and mystery. I couldn't wait to read more of what she wrote. I believe Sara Shepard had good diction as well. Some of the words that displayed good diction are "clandestine", "sleep-crusted eyes", etc. I especially like when she used "sl...more

As much as I was spending every waking moment wondering how it was going to end…And as absolutely satisfying as the ending was…It was definitely one of those series where I will miss the characters that I was just getting to know, miss all the rush, the excitement, and (of course) the secrets.

Once upon a time there were four girls, fair as the snow but unable to tell the truth. Long ago, their most intimate friend Alison vanished and was later found slain. In the last installment of their tale, the dastardly Billy Ford, builder of gazebos, was accused of the heinous crime. We now follow our heroines into the end of their saga (Until the new book comes out July 5th, the year of our lord 2011).

So freaking amazing. I read the others books in the series and absolutely adored all of them. Some of the best books I've ever read. Once you start reading you just can't put it down. You just have to keep reading. I definitely reccomend you check these books out. *little tiny spoiler* The ending, kinda left me hanging with what it said on the last page but i was still very pleased with the ending.

One of my top 5 favorite books I’ve ever read! Sara Shepard is an amazing author because she just keeps delivering great books one after another. The settings, dramatic dialogue and characters are unbelievable and you can’t help yourself wishing you were a part of the book. The way the author tells the story from four different perspectives makes you love the book even more because each of the perspectives are little stories. Your basically getting four thril...more
