For what it was, this book was totally fabulous. If you disagree, that just proves how much more fabulous I am than you.
This book wasn't highly applicable to me, but it was highly entertaining, and it took me all of, um, 2 hours to read basically the entire thing (I did skim the section on wine pairings, but I think that's excusable considering my entire circle of friends and aquaintances is dry). Anyway, it's basically a big, easy-to-read magazine.
I had seen Clinton Kelly on "What Not To Wear, More...

I thought this as going to be a piece of puff. While the writing is casual, the information is exquisite. I would highly recommend this book for any teenager (or adult for that matter) who appears to be going off the rails grammatically, sartorially, behaviorally, in culinary matters, etc. His writing style is pithy and contains much wisdom.

Also, there are some amazing hors d''oeuvres recipes in here and I'm here to tell you, those things are difficult to find.

I like this version of Clinton Kelly, unconstrained by the censors at his sanitized cable show. He's boozier, funnier, saltier, and smarter than his television self. I've learned nothing from the book so far. Delicious.

I really enjoyed reading this book. You can tell that Clinton Kelly majored in journalism in college. It is well written and humorous. Clinton writes with his similar attitude and charisma that he imparts on his show What Not to Wear. He shares with his readers such topics as how to look our best, sound our smartest, use good manners, cook a meal, fix a perfect drink, throw the most popular parties, make your home the envy of your neighbors, and generally be the freakin' fabulous person you alwa More...

Right off the bat I don't like the title. In my mind, someone who is freakin' fabulous doesn't aspire to be better than everyone else.

That aside, Kelly takes on a little too much in this book in a relative short space but the book is entertaining, which is the goal, I suppose. He's basically trying to show us proper etiquette as well as being cool without trying to hard. I commend him for saying you don't have to advertise how much you know about wine or talk about yourself constantly. These ar More...

Clinton Kelly is so funny! He is using a voice that is so not the g-rated one he uses for television. But it totally works without getting rude and crude. I also know who I am going to give this to as a birthday or Christmas present this year!

I was surprised that the clothing section was not very big. Well, I suppose it may still actually be the longest chapter but it's certainly not the focus of the book. He gets his point across quickly and moves on, I suppose. The eating and entertaining sec More...

I liked some parts of this book much better than others. I glanced over the "how to speak" section, since some of the things he mentions are my pet peeves too.

The thing I found most charming about this book is Kelly's wacky sense of humor. I wouldn't have thought he could be so funny just by watching his persona on "What not to Wear." I feel like we could be great friends if only we lived closer together and if I was more fabulous. It seems like he has a great outlook on life and is very confide More...

Clinton Kelly is the acerbic male co-host of TV's popular "What Not to Wear." His background in fashion makes him a hit on the show, and he's obviously experienced in showing people how to dress themselves for the best effect. In this book, Kelly takes advantage of his masters' degree in journalism to write an outstanding piece. He provides advice on everything from foolproof recipes (provided) to grammar (my favorite part of the book, as he touches specifically on some of my pet peeves). His bo More...

Clinton Kelly is rather like a god to me. My copy is signed by him because I had the extreme fortune to be in a fashion show in which he chose my outfit (which I got to keep). Meeting him was a dream come true -- he's every bit as wonderful in person as he is on What Not to Wear, a totally charming sweetheart with that edge of truth that every woman needs to hear. And this book will also give you that experience. You might expect to be something of a humor book, and it's funny, but it's so much More...

This is a great book to read in between all those serious books on your list. Clinton Kelly is actually a really funny writer. This book gives advice on how to live your life, all with funny sarcastic remarks by Clinton. If you are looking for a good gift for a college graduate, this book would be great. In between all the funny stuff, Clinton actually gives good advice, and this book is the kind of book you would keep for reference on all sorts of things: tricky grammatical stuff, wine pairings More...

I'm so TV clueless that I had no idea who this guy was until I opened the book. And I'm so glad I did! I don't normally read stuff like this but after browsing a few pages, I had to finish. I found myself reading chapters I didn't even care about just so I could laugh at Clinton Kelly's writing. I don't like the "...Be Better Than Everyone Else" part in the title and I'm wondering if it wasn't the publisher's idea. Mr. Kelly genuinely seems to want to teach people a little respect (self-respect More...

Everyone should own a copy of this book. Where else can you flip for fashion advice (it covers everything from proportion of accessories to appropriateness of the event to how to hide/flatter certain shapes), then skip ahead to the recipes (my copy has splatters on some of the pages because I referred to it in the kitchen), then go back a chapter to remember when to use "whom" vs. "who," and then flip ahead to how formal you should be in a thank-you note to your ex-husband's sister for inviting More...

Clinton is a good writer. I didn't expect that. Of course, that was when I didn't know he had a Master's in journalism. The book is both entertaining and informative, fit for mass consumption as well as those actually looking to improve themselves. I find myself in the latter category. I really enjoyed the Queer Eye guide to style and I was hoping this would be more of the same. While this book has been rumored to be for women, I wasn't disappointed.

Clinton is heavy on the advice for women, and, More...

I finished this book last night in my closet at 2:30 AM. I went in there to get down on all fours and stick my butt in the air, the only way I could force this soon to be born baby (with the power of gravity) off of a giant nerve ending in my crotch. This book would lie open by itself on my floor. I also drank a big bottle of water (I know, dumb!) while reading it, and had to get up like 7 times to pee before Benjamin came and woke me up this morning at 7:30. My husband stayed in bed until about More...

My non-fabulous moment: I ate a donut this morning. I was wearing a tank top under a scoopneck t-shirt. Well, certain chest areas get a little (A LOT) bigger when you are pregnant and mine has become a catch-all for crumbs. Remember that.

I ate the donut at 8:30 am. About 11 am, after a whole parade of people had come by my office, I happened to walk by a window. I always peek at my reflection, just to see how fabulous I am. Somehow a great big crumb of cinnamon sugar had fallen between the laye More...

What a fun read! I read the entire thing in just a couple of hours. It's bursting with Clinton's personality. There are some seriously great tips on wardrobe, cocktails and entertaining. I must have already been well on my way to fabulosity since I make roasted chicken, vinaigrette and omelets from memory. :D I believe the entire chapter on how to behave should be taught in school! Seriously though, if you love Clinton Kelly, this book is a must-read, just because it's so freakin' fabulous! More...

This is amazing. Seriously. Like, Clinton Kelly is my new favorite person, because he literally shares all of my grammar pet peeves. THERE IS A SECTION OF THIS BOOK DEDICATED COMPLETELY TO USING WORDS PROPERLY, LIKE LAY VS. LIE, MORE THAN VS. OVER, ETC. It also has other great stuff. I expected this to give me some style tips and that's it, but I learned that Clinton is a master's degreed journalist with a snappy, snarky writing voice that I love. He should write in more genres, because I would More...

I've always loved the TV show What Not To Wear, so I couldn't help but read co-host Clinton Kelly's book about how to be all-around fabulous. In chapters discussing fashion, grammar, etiquette, cooking, entertaining, and decor, Kelly explains how, with minimal effort, you can be as fabulous as him. He also explains why being fabulous is worth the effort, much like he and Stacy London do on their TV show. Fun and breezy, yet practical, this book is exactly what you'd expect, and that's a good thi More...

I love Clinton Kelly. He is just as funny as an author as he is on "What Not to Wear." This book was a hilarious read, and was also pretty interesting. I even learned a few things, like how to arrange your silverware on your dinner plate to signal that you have finished your meal. I didn't know there was such a signal. The entire book is meant to be informative and somewhat of a tongue-in-cheek look at what "fabulous" really means. It's a quick, easy read, but I found it to be very entertaining. More...

Fluffy and glossy as a magazine, and about as informative. Clinton's view of being fabulous is divided into several sections including dress, cooking, entertaining, drinking, etiquette, and more. The sections on clothing and etiquette were the most useful and interesting and I wish they would have been expanded on instead of the breezy mention of all the other topics. Or maybe I'm just a hater. It was still fun.

I read this during the Super Bowl and it is great! Loved the tips on how to decorate, especially because I found out that Clinton has a 6' chandelier painted glossy black made out of antlers in his apartment, just because he is *that fabulous*. I also didn't know that one could get that gap taken in, that sometimes happens in the back of women's pants. Who knew? Clinton did! Well, and tailors knew too, I suppose.

My sister originally got this book, because one of her friend's Facebook accounts got hacked and sent her a link to get a free iPad, and being the silly woman that she is, she fell for it. It's also the reason why we have at least 5 Disney DVDs on our hands.. But I read through this book, and I have to admit, I do feel fabulous and generally better than everyone else. 5 stars all the way!!

Good God, this is my new Bible. Witty, hilarious, and surprisingly informative.
I have read a LOT of etiquette books, recipe books, decorating books, and entertaining books, but none of them have been even close to this amusing, and interestingly enough, none of them have been as effective as Freackin' Fabulous either. I mean, the chapters, tips, and instructions are succinct, easy to remember, and super easy to understand.
What a treat!

Man, Clinton Kelly is hilarious! I was laughing out loud while reading this etiquette book from one of the stars of "What Not To Wear". Not just about how to throw parties, there with sections on decorating, cooking, clothing, and even grammar. Yeah, the section on grammar got kinda boring after a while, but overall, a solid book on entertaining and etiquette.

I highly recommend this book if for no other reason than it was very very funny. When I started reading I did not expect it to be funny but I laughed out loud at least every few pages. The book offers fun and simple advice on how to be fabulous. This includes how to throw a party, dress, cook, and drink. The book is also very easy to read and has a lot of great recipe ideas.

Loved this book. Clinton has a knack for witty and fun writing. I found all of his subjects enjoyable and fun to read.
The only turn off was his somewhat mean spirited humor compared to his message to the readers "More than anything, you are fabulous if you treat people with respect and encourage them to develop their own fabulous qualities."

Truly fabulous people say "fucking" instead of "freakin'" (or they think of another title) because they know that actual curse words have gonads and that excuses "freak" and "frig" and "frak" and "darn" and "dang" and "damb" are neuter cop-outs. They also know that no fabulous person ever drops a "g."

Kelly is a funny man.

Another fun one that felt like reading one long magazine (in a good way). Clinton really made me laugh
and it was refreshing to hear from him independent of Stacy. I like that it was written for men and women. I
especially liked the grammar lesson and it is worth repeating just how funny this was. His second book is
on the way!

I loved the ideas on dressing and decorating. However, Clinton is obviously obsessed with alcohol in all forms. The book is filled with references to alcohol in every chapter. I don't think that's fabulous. I also think now that Clinton is a homosexual with all of the snide comments he made. Some great ideas, but I'm don't think I can agree with everything.
