A tender, touching, and humorous graphic novel. At times really detailed in terms of sexuality, and commenting on a politics quite a bit. It provides insights into various aspects of the LGBTQ community. The narrative took me along with the protagonist and really made me feel for him. Really glad i read this. Disturbing and wonderful artwork.

A brief, touching, at times graphic, and deeply political narrative of one Cuban exiles attempt to come to terms with her gender and sexual identities in the context of disaspora and HIV/AIDS. Good for a quick read.

Co-supervisor (who lent this to me) worked with fierce Adele, the inspiration for this graphic novel! This was a well-told tale of immigration from Cuba and overlapping queer issues. It just ENDED TOO SOON, is all...that was a story that is still in progress.

Well-done, though. Half told in Spanish, which is pretty neat.(less)

This comic book is a gem. So moving, so upfront, and so useful. Perhaps the most entertaining and enjoyable "public health tools" I have ever encountered. Adela deserves such a work of art made about her, and Jaime Cortez does justice to such a project.
