Maybe it's the post-New Year's boredom. Maybe it's the cold, frisky air. Whatever the cause, the citizens of Mossy Creek seem determined to get into trouble on a clear winter day in mid-January. Police Chief Amos Royden and his loyal officers, Mutt and Sandy, can barely keep up with the calls. Hank and Casey Blackshear's great aunt Irene, 93, leads a protest march of angry ...more

I happen to pick the first one up at the library and now am on book 5.( There's at least 7) Each book is a series of short stories based on the lives of the residents of Mossy Creek, Georgia. Mossy Creek welcome signs says "Ain't goin nowhere and don't want to" Great easy reads but as the character continue throughout the series start with book #1 Mossy Creek

I like the book. Hell, I like the series! I'd love to own them simply so I could read them over again. The gaps in getting them ILL is horrendous.

I wouldn't mind living in a town like Mossy Creek. Fun happenings, fun neighbors, cute fellers . . . all the things I daydream about. *chuckles*

I am reading this on Kindle, don't know what page. I have really enjoyed all of these books, and plan to read the rest in the series. Quaint, light reading about a small town in Georgia with all of the "southern" traditions and blessings/perils of small town life.
