I'm starting to get bored with this series. Plot and character development have been in stasis for about two books now. Reading this volume kind of felt like eating soup meant for two people that's been watered down so it can feed ten.

There's definitely some entertainment to be found here, but it's a lot of sweet nothings. The soap-operatic dilemmas that the characters are currently encased in are the painfully uninteresting products of their entry into the 'real' world. Things were much more in...more

On the train to Tokyo.Nana and Hachi crossed paths without knowing.
Both of them, opposite in background and character, had been brought together by fate again and live in the same apartment...

After the show,Blast got Hachi's message asking whether they would like to see a fireworks festival.Everyone was excited to meet Hachi.Nobu however, knew that Hachi, who was about to get married, was scared to meet him,and so for her sake, avoided her at the last moment.

After Nana accepted Ren's sudden proposal o...more

Shin and Reira are having a birthday party! On the surface, this has a premise of glitter and sunshine. But, like the whole series, there are complex, dark undersides. Takumi is furious with Hachi for coming and they have a blowout fight. Nana hates how everyone thinks of her as "Ren's girlfriend". She doesn't want to be tied down. Nobu can't get over Hachi, and he can't understand his new girlfriend Asami. And Shin and Reira really, really, REALLY shouldn't be together. But deep down, they're v...more

Not liking Yuri, poor Miu for getting her heart broken. And we slowly got to know more about her and her "tough" life...
I don't know why Hachiko can stand Takumi, when he practically "raped" her after his outburst at the party. Can't accept that.

The only thing I still like is Blasts' friendship with eachother. Everything else is just getting out of control. Ren and his drug problem,Nana's reaction to that, Shin and Reira's affair, Takumi and Hachiko's relationship, Miu and her suicide thoughts a...more

This volume was rather slow moving and uneventful, but is important for Hachi developing. (view spoiler)[She realizes she should have talked to Nobu before choosing Takumi and also decides to try to love Takumi since he helped her when she was at her lowest. (hide spoiler)] My part of this volume is (view spoiler)[the developing relationship between Yasu and Miu. Their personalities work well together and they're not rushing into anything like a lot of the other characters are. However, patterns...more

This is my favorite Manga series. While clothes wise, i had mostly related to Nana O., I feel as though my childish characteristics are more in line with Nana K. known as Hachi.

Finally continued reading Nana after re-watching the movies and re-reading vol. 1-12 of the manga - and yep, it's definitely still my favourite manga series among all the many I've read. <3

Lots of tough themes in this one... Self harm, implied rape, erotic asphyxiation... It all adds up to tons more drama in Nana! I can't wait to watch the movies!

This is my favourite manga series to date and I have read quite a few! Paradise Kiss by same author is really great too.

I have to know what happens next so I am being very, very evil and finishing this online. I just can't stand not knowing when Yazawa-sensei keeps dropping horrible, ominous hints. I want Hachiko and Nana to live HEA, and I don't think it's going to happen. *single emo tear*

I think this is the one with the party.
