Married to the Viscount is one of my favorite Sabrina Jeffries books. It is one of the few books that checks off all the things that make a historical romance a hit for me.

ngakak baca awal cerita....
ceritanya Spencer udah kepincut ama Abby, sayang...Spencer ga berani ngelamar gara2 takut ga bisa punya anak. nah, rahasia ini ga pernah Spencer ceritain kecuali ke 1 orang : adiknya, Nat...itupun pas Spencer mabok.
rupanya, Nat mempunyai rencana menjodohkan sang kakak dg wanita pujaannya. termasuk diam2 mewakilkan Spencer menikahi Abby (Ehm....) tapi rencananya berantakan tatkala Abby memutuskan mendatangi lgsg sang "suami" stlh ayahnya meninggal.

ngga kaget kalo novel ini pun dianugrahi cerita serta karakter yang hebat juga.
dibuku-buku sebelum nya, viscount Ravenswood selalu yang jadi perencana, penipu muslihat and many more,, eh sekarang dan dibuku ini, dia yang kena batunya. dan rahasia terbesarnya adalah, viscount yang kaku dan serius ni akan bersikap ceroboh serta jujur kalo lagi mabuk !

I'm a sucker for romance novels and sometimes I'll go through binges and then get sick of them and go on to something else. This was the second in my most recent romance novel binge.

Yes, akhirnya selesai juga baca seri swanlea spinster nya sabrina jeffries. Dan yg terakhir ini yg the best menurut ku. Kisah Abby dan Spencer ini mirip2 sm kisahnya Lilian dan Marcus (Lisa Kleypas), dimana cewenya AMerika banget dengan segala karakter bebasnya dan si cowonya Inggris banget tapi sebenernya muak juga dengan segala tata krama khas Inggris yang serba kaku. Dan dengan si Abby lah )istri pura2nya) Spencer takjub banget, dimana Abby bisa bikin Spencer jatuh cinta dengan sikap blak-bla...more

I love reading about the stuffy serious guys who get turned head over heels by a woman. It started out a little slow but quickly got quite entertaining. Even the characters' arguments and misunderstandings were funny. All of the scenes with the children were adorable as well. I loved Spencer showing all the kids the peep show boxes (view spoiler). sayangnya si Mercer (heroinnya) tipe2 yg oke lah dia dari Amerika, okelah dia setengah Indian, tp gimana ya.. agak kurang percaya diri dengan dirinya sendiri, awalnya agak sedikit "aaaw heroinnya lemah" tapi makin dibaca si mercer ini makin garang juga *sukaa kl heroinnya garang*

Oh boy. I really wanted to like this book but no matter how many chances I gave it (second and third and even fourth chances), I finally had to admit defeat.
I love "fish-out-of-water" stories so the idea of a headstrong American woman sailing to England to live with her husband-by-proxy stuffy English Viscount was right up my alley. Sadly, though, the execution of this premise falls flat, opportunities are missed, and the main characters are all over the map in their thoughts and actions.

So-so last book of the series, which could be read as a standalone. Spencer, the Viscount of Ravenswood finds out he is married by proxy (thanks to his younger brother, Nat) to the beautiful American, Abby Mercer, whom he eyed the year before while visiting his brother in Philadelphia. This was just okay. The hero was a jerk. I mean yeah, he had a fairly significant reason not to marry, but he just went about things all backwards, upside-down wrong, to such a degree that I couldn't buy his redemption scenes. I wasn't terribly impressed with the heroine either.
A solid good read, even though the hero was stubborn to the point of annoyance. However, this became an endearing quality as the book progressed. The heroine was charming and stood toe to toe with the hero. The ending did not quite live up to the build-up, but I did want this couple despite the ups and downs to get a satisfactory HEA, and they did. Recommend~
Abigail proxy marries Spencer without her knowing that it's fake and without him knowing at all. Why do so many romances start out really well and devolve into a tangle of miscommunication and stupidity?
A fantastic Historical Romance Novel. I loved how tortured he was but couldn't stay away from her. I admit I am a huge fan of Sabrina Jeffries and love all her stories.
This is only my second Sabrina Jeffries book. I liked that it wasn't trying to be something that it isn't. I liked both characters and the story was cute.
I just couldn't stand the two leads. *sigh* They just drove me crazy to distraction. Good thing the plot was serviceable.
Very much liked this book. You were never totally sure what the brother was up to. keeps you wanting to find out!

Menarik. hehehe... dan saya baru tau ternyata ada pernikahan yang diwakilkan,
finally, setelah tertunda beberapa hari, buku ini habis terbaca. Bagus sih, suka banget sama karakter Aby disini, saya sepenuhnya di pihak Nathaniel. Cuma dari kelima seri Sabrina Jeffries yang Swanlea, saya masih paling suka yang After The Abduction. Spencer disini kurang mempesona (not as charming as Sebastian) heheheh :D seandainya Abby nggak hamil di akhir cerita ini mungkin semakin seru, but this book is recommended
