This wasn't as helpful as I hoped it would be. It gives a good overview of the techniques needed to long rein, but, for me, spends too much time discussing more advanced dressage movements. While I can see the benefit of teaching these on the ground first, I wanted the book to be more about the novice youngster, being worked in an outline or in a circle for the first time. Some of the exercises were useful, but a lot of them I can't see us approaching for many months yet.
