These were such great insights into Michelangelo, particularly nearing the end of his life. They got pretty sad as quite a few were quite regretful and he was experiencing a lot of loss. They are poems very much written in the shadow of death. but other ones are quite bitterly funny or cheeky. there is some great imagery and wonderful allusions to his work painting and sculpting which are fantastic and feel really special!
