I found this book to be a both practical guide and plain spoken explanation of what it means to be in therapy and to be a therapist. While Weinberg might seem a tad dated, phone etiquette and dress chapters are a bit painful, he has some insightful points to make about the potential to help others change for the better.
Great book about what SHOULD happen in therapy, and what often does happen; and that they are very often not the same. If you want to practice psychotherapy, or feel like you might want to purchase some - read the book.
