Angel McCloud is in a bit of a pickle. Her father's gambling problem was out of control before he died, leaving her with no home, a mountain of debt, and the man who won the home in the card game lusting after her body. The only thing she can still claim as her own is 50% of a supposedly worthless gold mine in Colorado. Don't ask me to explain it, but a letter is sent to her father's partner in the mine, a Mr. Murphy, and when the messenger returns there are instr
Compelling read. Likable heroine who's not too annoyingly feisty. The hero is ok. No cheating. No rape. Heroine knows how to use a gun but she's not one of those heroines who can do everything and more.
There are 3 villains...too many for me but it works for the story.
The chemistry between the hero and heroine was mild.

Overall this was a decent read.
