"Trust me to go and fall for someone who lives on the other side of the planet."

Nesta has met the perfect boy: good-looking, fun, sweet. But there are problems, too. Simon's from a rich, upper-class background -- with a lifestyle to match -- and it's difficult for Nesta to keep up. And then there's Simon's friend Cressida. What can Nesta do to compete with

Nesta meets a boy named Simon. He is from a completely different world. Simon comes from a rich family. He has an easy life, he could spend money whenever he wants and doesn't have to worry about it. Nesta is the total opposite. So she does whatever she can to keep up with him. There was an external conflict between Lucy and Izzie with Nesta. The main characters are Nesta, Lucy, and Izzie. The setting is in London.
Text to Self. In this book Nesta changed herself to impres...more

I read Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas as an IR book. This was about how Nesta was trying to keep up with a boy who she liked but couldn't keep up with his life. She met him on the train when it was jammed.packed and wound up falling on his lap. Basically he was rich to her. At the same time she kept getting bullied by Cressida. That fact is can Nesta catch up with him.
One connection i have is an text-to-movie. Once i saw in a movie that Mary in Another Cinderella Story said she was fal...more

Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas focuses on yet another adventure that Lucy and her friends have - the girls experience what it's like to shop a lot, shop to impress a boy, and what it feels like when you don't have the means to shop like others your age do. This book is suitable for young adolescents; the storyline probably wouldn't be enticing to anyone over the age of 15. The entire Mates, Dates series is approachable and enjoyable for readers who can appreciate the mundane girl activities th...more

Mates, Dates, and Designer Divas is Nesta's book. She falls in deep smit with Simon, who is definetely upper crust. Nesta's used to being the "rich" one amongst her set, but Simon's world is one of riding and designer duds. Mainly, his sister's friend is a straight up racist bee-otch and Nesta's having a major crisis of self-esteem. And Izzie's singing with Ben's band, which is pretty neat-o. Nesta also gets wasted, which is funny. But this is where the first "translation" is...more

I read this book as an IR book. This book was another sequel to Mates Dates series. Again its about their life style and how they make it through living like princesses. Not really princesses but acting like one. They go through the book dealing with boys, their friendship and of course living like a princess.
I can relate to this book by a text-to-self connection. I can connect this to myself because when i was little i wanted to be a princess. I loved all the Disney characters and prete...more

This book is about a girl named Nesta. She meets a boy named Simon and she becomes his girlfriend. He is really rich and really glamorous. He has a friend named Cressida and she is really snobby. Nesta gets in a fight with her friends and becomes their enemy for a while. Also she gets worried Simon won't like her any more but in the end they are still together.

What this book was about is that Nesta got to meet a cute guy. They met on the train for the first time. Nesta accidentally sat on his lap & that's how they caught each other's attention. As days passed, they bumped into each other & get to know each other more. I just find that so romantic :]

Please give the main character a little time to grow on you if you read this book. Her first impression is that of a whingy, spoiled airhead but she sports redeeming qualities as the book goes on and I ended up quite liking her view of the world and her struggle to find her place in it. A charming little read for early years high school girls.

As what i said before, I really like this author and i am going to continue to read all of her books. I think that all of her books contain a message or a lesson which means a lot. This book's message is to be real and tell others what you think and not hide it because it won't solve anything. Actually telling others what you think makes things better. I hope that as i keep on reading on, i will discover more messages and use them!

Nesta, cewe cantik, keren, dan tajir kali ini ketemu ama cowo keren yang kaya buanget. Masalahnya Ibu Nesta kerjaannya terancam jadi deh Nesta ga bisa make uang seenaknya
Lumayan enak juga baca ini, khas young adult ceritanya ringan, bahasa santai jadi bacanya cepet ga usah mikir hehe ;D
