This book provides a simple view on how people behave at work. After understanding different types of managers it becomes much easier to understand them, what they are trying to achieve and what they need from their employees. I recommend reading this book to all people regardless of their position in a company. Ideal executives are like ... unicorns! Great metaphor! As well as other descriptive means used in this book, the author made it very clear what qualities we look for in an ideal manager. However, he's also drawn what teams need to be built keeping in mind ideal manager's qualities to balance when you have a P(roducer), an A(dministrator), an E(ntrepreneur) and I(ntegrator).

Занимательная книга, еще раз повторяет истину, что не бывает идеальных людей, и в том числе менеджеров. В легкой и занимательной форме автор рассказывает о своем открытии - что все качества менеджера можно разделить на 4 категории: P - Производитель, A - Администратор, E - Предприниматель, I - Интегратор.

Особо выглядит описание Стилей неправильного менеджмента, где Адизес показывает патологические типы, где выражена только одна из предложенных ранее им категорий.

Short book about characteristics of "ideal" executive. Much information with not so much description and practical appliance.
I heard audio version of this book twice, but can not remember most of information because of very high density of it. It would be much useful to read paper version, making notes and highlighting ideas.

The perfect executive does not exist. This book explains in great detail the underlying reasons why decisions are not made nor implemented effectively in the the organizations. A complete different paradigm!
