Now this is podracing more like it!

Boo has arrived: a blobby, sleeping-cat-faced monster who behaves like a child and whose head turns into a whistling kettle if you call him fat! He’s also mega-powerful. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, EVERYONE falls to this dude – so it’s down to Son Goten and Trunks to somehow defeat him.

There’s a lot of death in this book though it doesn’t have the same meaning as it would in other titles because of the Dragon Balls. Here, Shenlong makes an appearance and brings back

Seriously, Vegeta sacrificing himself to save mankind? Has there ever been a more tender display of bravery in the world of DBZ. How could you not tear up when piccolo said "I Curse it. I curse our helplessness. For the first time ever he's fighting for something other than himself...and he's giving his life for it."

Was hard to decide what to rate this vol. It wasn't quite a 3, yet not quite a 4 either.

This vol picks up with Majin Buu being released from his seal. Knwoing that it is his fault and responsibility that Buu was released, Vegeta heads off to fight the dijin all alone, having knocked out Goku, beforehand. All the while, plans are being forged in heaven, to combat this terror!

Now, the highlight of this vol, by far was Vegeta's sacrifice and character development. For the first time in his life, he

This was a fantastic read. The story just gets better and better. Also, the characters are amazing and I love reading about the heroes that are in the Dragon Ball franchise. In the volume, Buu has finally arrived. He looks like a bubbly dancing blob monster that gets mad and turns powerful. I really love this one because of Vegeta. He fought for something better than him. He was fighting for his family and friends. I loved his bravery and I commend his actions as he saved ma

Dragon Ball Z by Akira Toriyama. Buu, now awake. Kills Drabura. Then "kills" Gohan. Vegeta finishes his fight with Goku (Goku's dead so he can't be killed again). Vegeta rushed to fight Buu. While fighting Buu Piccolo cuts Babi-Di in half. Vegeta, tells his son goodbye. Piccolo takes Trunks away and then Vegeta blows up himself in order to kill Buu. But it was in vain. Buu regenerates and heals Babi-Di. Now Goten and Trunks started training to kill Buu...

This was the 4th best out of the Buu saga

I always hated Vegeta ever since I was a kid back then when I was reading this... and I still do.

Right HERE is the main reason I hated him so much, besides all the bullshit he did until that point.

Fun read as always!

Anything dbz is a winner for me. After watching the anime before reading the manga, it is still taking some getting used to with the difference in character names and reading right to left instead of left to right. Overall a good read.

Akira Toriyama is a widely known and acclaimed Japanese manga artist known mostly for his creation of Dragon Ball in 1984. It is difficult to pin point the source of Toriyama's artwork inspiration. He admires Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy and was impressed by Walt Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which he remembers for the great art. Jackie Chan's early movies had a noticeable influence on Tori ...more
