Interesting book for those interested in Belletristic rhetoric . . . few as those may be. In histories of rhetoric, we often see belletristic rhetoric treated as a thing itself. This book shows not only polyphonic nature of major terminologies, but also how these stretched across national boundaries. Considering that Belletristic rhetoric was quite the nationalist enterprise, these elements are important to keep in mind.

I'm not so convinced of the idea of a "sixth canon." Though titled this way,
