Beautifuly illustrated! The illustrations are collages made with textured paper and other materials. The book is about a dog, Ten-gallon Bart who is retired and now hi is feeling bored. He wants some adventures andhe decided to participate in the Wild West Show riding a crazy bull. But first, he needs to wake up the bull!!!!

I liked the voice...the western twang is fun to read, but in this case, it was a tad over done, making it a bit hard to read. Little goes a long way, if I may be so bold as to use the cliche.

Story is cute, art is okay, but not a re-read or one for the shelf.

ANother fun Old West tale that adults will enjoy as much as children because of all the Western references and subtle word play. The kids will be fascinated by the bright personalities of the collage characters.

super cute book that easily launched me into several old-west voices - the boys loved it!
