I was disappointed in the quality of this book. The unwrapped store display was pretty shabby, but I attributed that to too many careless fingers. But my brand-new, still shrinkwrapped book had pop ups glued down and others that weren't attached. With a careful razorblade and creative glueing I was able to put it mostly right.

I liked "Christmas in New York" well enough, but I prefer "Christmas around the World," written a few years later as the second book was more detailed. The quality of the edition I received wasn't as nice as I would've liked, with a couple of the flaps and cutouts not fitting together properly and the pull tabs stuck.
