This book was a good jumping off point for studying "Pilgrim's Progress." We studied it in our women's Bible study at church and it led to a lot of good discussion. However, I wish that she had addressed the Scripture references and truths more in the study guide. The questions were more simply asking what happened, what the characters were like, etc. and then the leader had to dig deeper to bring out the scripture. Recommends it for: those studying Pilgrim's Progress
This book does a great job assisting the reader through the themes and concepts of Pilgrim's Progress, John Bunyan's timeless allegorical masterpiece. Each chapter has questions for study and further reflection and then a summary section with applications. Bradley frequently quotes from other Bunyan works, previous Bunyan commentators including George Cheever, Thomas Scott, Charles Spurgeon, John Gulliver and Alexander Whyte. A helpful tool for use in a group reading of the book. Some of the questions are a little obvious, but others are thought provoking and all can be used to challenge biblical growth if the answers are supported with Scripture. This guide unfortunately only covers Part 1 of the book.
