Lori E. Mazzola was born Lori E. Toler on June 18th, 1980, in Anchorage Alaska. She is also known as Dr. Spruce. She moved to California and currently resides there. She is the mother of two wonderful children. She is related to Sidney Toler. Her first poem was accepted and published in Twilight Musings in 2005. The same year she won an Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. Her poem War was published in The Best Poems and Poets of 2005. She was then requisitioned by Noble House to submit a poem for publication. In 2006, the poem Your Blackened Heart was published in Songs of Honour. The same year she won an Outstanding Achievement in Poetry. The same year her first book, Tales of the Tree People “To tree…or not to tree?” was published by Publish America. In 2007, She received the Editor’s Choice Award for an Outstanding Achievement in Poetry presented by The International Library of Poetry twice. In 2008, her poem A Little Time was published in Collected Whispers. In 2009, Tales of the Tree People "To tree...or not to tree?" won an Honorable Mention from the San Francisco Book Festival, the Hollywood Book Festival, and the New York Book Festival. The same year, The Forbidden Forest: Tales of the Tree People was published by Publish America. The following year, she was contacted by Publish America to write her memoirs, The Lori Story was traditionally published in 2011. Tree Wars Tales of the tree people Quest for Peace the third book in the Tales of the Tree People series was also traditionally published in 2012. She is also the Author of Professional Parenting known as Dr. Spruce...
