train lovers everywhere
We had to give our British friend money each year when she returned to England to stock up on Thomas the Tank Engine swag as these were not readily found in the U.S. when our son was tiny - we spent an indecent amount of money on little trains and books galore - it wasn't all in one book at that time, but little tiny books. I just laughed and laughed when the U.S. versions hit the stores as they called the Fat Controller Sir Topumhat or some such P.C. name.

My kids loved the PBS videos we watched and I kept looking for the complete collection of stories so we could have it in our library. I was delighted when I found this complete series at my local bookstore in 2005. It is a wonderful collection of the Reverend's original stories that can be read aloud to youngsters or read by themselves when able.

My son loves it. We're on our third time reading this book. Lots of Thomas stories to cover lots of bedtime reading.

Gabriel loves trains. He still plays with his Thomas set and so having the original book set was pure bliss for him.
