In many ways, this is a rebranded New Rules of Lifting: Six Basic Moves for Maximum Muscle. On the plus side, the workouts here apply the principles of NRoL even more thoroughly. On the down side, there's loads of fluff that should be relegated to men's magazines. I recommend reading the fitness advice from NRoL, then doing the workouts from Built for Show - between the two, they make a good introduction.
Very good. I have read a lot of training books and had actually given up on training a bit because of lack of results causing me to gain weight. This book explained a few things to me and re inspired me to get back to the gym. I recommend this book to any young man

Good book on fitness. Picked it up because the other ones I've been reading didn't really have much entertainment value. I found this book to be both humorous and informative.
This is exactly the type of book I was looking for! I suspect I'm going to have a lot of fun with the workout routines in this book over the next year.
