Perry and his friend Stoutpoint come across an unusual find -- a hatchling gigantosaurus! Unable to resist the baby's cries of hunger, they take the injured dinosaur to their village. Chomper conforms to a diet of fish and invertebrates, but when the dinosaur's appetite outgrows the village stores, something has to be done!

I read through this series of books on dinotopia as an interest in a lesson plan extension for higher elementary school grades, this was expanding the thematic unit i created for kindergarten...
A fun story about trying to raise a T-Rex on a farm. I love the Dinotopia series because it is so imaginative and colorful.
A wonderful, fantastic series. The authors do a good job to keep their writing and voice congruous throughout the various books.
How can a Giganotosaurus possibly be a part of Dinotopian society? Read it and find out!
