"Soul Eater" is the third book in "Chronicles of Ancient Darkness", but there will be six books in all.
The story continues to follow Renn and Torak in their pursuit of the Soul Eaters, who have captured wolf; Torak's canine companion and ‘pack brother’. Wolf is to be used in a series of sacrifices to protect the Soul Eaters from the demons they are to unleash into the world.

Another excellent entry in this series that "combines Stone Age anthropology with supernatural mythology"--Torak and his friend Renn set off to the frozen North to rescue his "packmate" (best friend who's not a human) Wolf. There's always lots of outdoor survival scenes and tense action in these books, plus animal behavior--the way Torak and Wolf "talk" in wolfspeak is really neat. This book is the third in the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series, and proabably the most tense so far.
I can't say much because it will spoil it but I can say that it is a great book, from a great series!
However, I advise for you to read the first (Wolf Brother) and second (Spirit Walker) before you read this. As the books carry on from one another.

I loved this series. Though I much prefer the cover artwork on the hard cover book. The main character is enthralling and his connection with his wolf so believable. One gets instantly immersed into their world.

Best book in this series, if you ask me. I love the part where Renn and Torak get separated, and I adore Wolf in this one. Great series, everybody go read. :)
