I read this book because I love wolves and this is a book that shows wolves in a positive light. These tales are the opposite of the “big bad” wolf; they’re of wolves’ positive attributes. And this is an important book in the genre of wolf stories, folk and fairy tales.

I thought that the myths were uneven. Some of these tales were too short for me to become fully engaged. Some were terrific stories. One was rather sad, as a wolf dies in it. I was interested to see a few examples of wolf tales fr
