The Ultimate Candy Book contains a little bit of everything sweet. It's a good book, but the title is deceiving and should have been entitled 'The Ultimate Sweets Book'. This is great for beginners who want to learn to melt chocolate, pour them into molds and BAM, you've got chocolates. The inspiration of adding mint flavouring to chocolate or rice krispies is a nice idea for those learning how to make sweets.
What did I learn from this book? Not to use it. The caramels turned out crystaled and not particularly brown and the peanut brittle burned. And we were being careful with directions, temperatures, and all that good stuff.
