conservatives in ray-bans
post-grad school, i don't have too much tolerance for petit-bourgeois academes... especially when they're part of some spectred cool kid clique. that's not to say i didn't give n+1 a chance; i dutifully read their first issue, and have been tangentially keeping up since then (enter the P.S.1 symposium). unfortunately, for a lit/crit mag that's supposedly got its ear to the ground, n+1 seems as far removed from the creative fray as the establishment they're embraced as an alternative to.
