This book is full of information about how to prepare your life, home, and property for difficult times. All of the information may not be immediately relevant, but it provides food for contemplation and planning. Some of the views are alarmists, with which I may not agree, but the preparedness ideas are useful regardless of the source of the disasters.I recommend this book for anyone who wants to take their preparedness beyond simple 72 hour kits and food storage.

Joel is the master when it comes to preparedness. Few people have more knowledge than he does. But what I really appreciate is that he is not "alarmist" about things. He is an utter realist, and he pulls no punches, but he does not fall into the trap of "looking for a nail, just because he has a hammer" if that makes sense.

I recommend anything of Joel's.

"If you want this book you have to email the author to buy it. The title is self-explanatory. If you are worried about fending off armed mobs of anarchists who want to break in your house, kill, rape and take your food storage, then this book is for you."
Justin
The author's political philosophies leak through a bit, which can be off-putting if you're not completely on board with him, but the practical advice is well presented and thorough.
