To say that the Araminta Spookie books-on-CD were a hit in our house would be an understatement. Rabbit adores these books as read by Katherine Kellgren, and I love them too. Araminta Spookie and her adventures are fun and funny, exciting and wondrous; Angie Sage is a storyteller with a keen understanding of the sort of spooky that little kids like to be spooked by—the mysterious and silly kind. We listened to the CD of the first two books because our library didn't have the books. We listened to them in the car with the kids and loved them. The lady who reads them is also excellent. We found reasons to drive around in the car. I love Angie Sage. Even though they are technically for younger I thought they were adorable and funny.

I haven't listened to this yet, but Bryant listened to it twice on our trip back from UT the last time and said, "This is the best book!" So, I gave it his rating and will rate it again when I have a chance to listen to it.

I am not a big fan of listening to audiobooks but I really liked this one. The books are a fun read and the spoken version is almost better than the books. I loved how the personalities of the characters came alive through the narrator.
