I bought this audio-book at a used book sale and listened to it in the car, two or three chapters at a time, with my two grandsons (5 and 7 years old). We really enjoyed it! My older grandson had me pull over to the side of the road to load up cd two right away after cd one had ended . . . he'd really gotten into the story! The audio version of these two stories definitely earned four stars and Katherine Kellgren's performance was superb!

It was nearly Halloween, and I have previously enjoyed the Septimus Heap books by Angie Sage, so when I found this audiobook at my local library I decided to give it a listen. There are actually two stories included in this audio edition. I was a little disoriented at the beginning of "My Haunted House", not knowing exactly what kind of world the setting was. It seemed realistic, yet there were some odd things about it. Once I got into the book, it became clear that it is a kind of magical world ...more

To say that the Araminta Spookie books-on-CD were a hit in our house would be an understatement. Rabbit adores these books as read by Katherine Kellgren, and I love them too. The stories are great and are so well-read by Kellgren, who has a unique voice for each character— it ...more

I am not a big fan of listening to audiobooks but I really liked this one. The books are a fun read and the spoken version is almost better than the books. I loved how the personalities of the characters came alive through the narrator.

I haven't listened to this yet, but Bryant listened to it twice on our trip back from UT the last time and said, "This is the best book!" So, I gave it his rating and will rate it again when I have a chance to listen to it.
