Would have been lost without Claire Tomalin's footnotes on historical context and interpretation. Learnt quite a lot about Greek Gods and The English Civil War to boot!

Claire Tomalin has done a fantastic job of making this selection of poems accessible to a modern audience!

This book contains selected works (some partial) by a famous poet.

I'm not a great fan of poetry and only picked this book up as one of my "random library selection", but I enjoyed both the selected pieces and the details of the poet's life. I was surprised how long some of the poems were.
