I was in the mood for an action-packed gritty Old West adventure and that was exactly what I got. But what I didn't expect was the inclusion of a mystery element along with a bit of romance. And boy howdy did that just about make this story perfect for me.

The story opens with former army scout and lawman, Mart Donahue stumbles across a burning wagon and a couple dead bodies out near Apache country. Donahue's instincts are honed to a fine edge and the evidence left behind smell of trouble especia

Murphy on his way to Tombstone comes across black smoke, as he takes out his field glasses he spots the source of the black smoke, it's coming from a wagon that's been set on fire by either Indians or bushwackers; as he approaches the wagon with caution, he spots the dead bodies. There's one of the horses from the team dead, probably the lead horse. Whatever they were transporting was still in the wagon, sacks of flour, slabs of bacon, coffee, sugar items you would buy for you

Unforgiving by Christopher Kenworthy was received direct from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. The book ( a western), was first released in2007 and is getting its second wind, which is good. The story immediately runs full speed, winding up in Tombstone (which I am partial to having visited there several times), and even the Earps make appearances.
