I owe Roni Sarig and this book a huge "Thank You" for introducing me to dozens of amazing bands that I had heard of, but never paid attention to over the past 30 years as an obsessive music nerd and musician.

if i had known that this book was written in 1998, i probably would not have read it. however, i found a bunch of music that i haven't heard of, some that i had heard OF but never heard, and some refreshers on my personal influences.

i am sure there is something better now (pandora? or whatever streaming site the kids listen to these days.)

Great book, full of interesting bands and artists to know about, the author makes a great job telling a story and ultimately, creating enough curiosity in you to make yo go and check chrome, pere ubu or the dead kenedys among other acts after every chapter.
