You can be pure of heart and say your prayers every night; but, still, the most honest of folk may become a wolf when the wolfsbane* blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

* Much to my joy, we had wolfsbane growing in the backyard of my childhood home; don't pick, and don't place it under your pillow.
