ABC pit reporter shares some stories from the modern era of the Indy 500

Jack Arute's first Indy 500 was in 1969 as an 18-year-old spectator. His family owns a track in the Northeast and racing is in his blood. His dad passed down a love for the Indy 500 in particular.

This is a great quick read for any fan of racing or the Indy 500. Jack keeps his stories short and too the point from all his years of experience being a TV broadcaster for the Indy 500. The stories are great and surely things you wouldn't know from just being a spectator. The only 2 things I wish he would have done (but would have defeated his purpose with this book) I wish he had more to it, I wish there were more to the stories or if he at least spread his stories IndyCar racing as a whole ...more
