Very quick read. Sentimental but keeps-you-interested story of privileged 15-year-old girl with absent parents (Ambassador to Sweden, she lives with grandmother in DC area mansion). To keep her distracted from their absence at Christmas, mother admits that the Ambassador isn't Hannah's biological father, prompting an unexpected (from the mother's perspective) public Christmastime search for him.

What I learned - the privileged get to use the resources of the US government to find thei More...

I just started reading this book on Monday I think it was and so far, I have really liked it. It's about a 15 yr. old girl who has grown up all her life thinking that her step-dad is her biological dad, and he's not. Her mom writes her a letter explaining who her father is and what he used to look like. He is in the Army now nd Hannah is doing everythin she can to find him. But, she wants him for Christmas and she knows that it will take a Christmas miracle to find him. I am almost halfway done. More...

I stumbled on to this series without realizing this was the last book in a set. Even without reading the others though, I truly enjoyed this story, feeling Hannah's emptiness in her life and the intense void she felt desiring to know that "mystery" man of her memories and dreams. I quickly felt tied to all the characters in the story, even being brought to tears once or twice. If the rest of the Red Gloves series is like Hannah's Hope, I am interested in reading more. What a great More...

Inspirational story about Hannah who's parents meet at a California Beach in the 70's, but never get married because her mom wants more than her dad can offer. Hannah's mom was from a wealthy family who would never approve of her marrying a surfer, so Mike Connor enlists in the army to become a chopper pilot. That still isn't enough for Carol, so she moves back to Washington, DC taking Hannah with her. Hannah is age 4 the last time she sees her daddy. Carol married a wealthy politician who moves More...

Karen's parents are not coming home for Christmas. Karen decides to ask God for a miracle. She wants her parents with her for Christmas. Her mother sends her a package telling her that her father is not her biological father which includes pictures and what the mother knows about him. Karen begins a search for him.

Liked it in the sesne that it is like a Pay it Forward premise except it's red gloves. This story was about reuniting with a long lost dad who was now in the military. Of course he was sent on a deadly mission and would they ever get to reunite kept it "captivating" until the end....Delilah.

I read all of the Red Gloves books together condensed into one book but cannot find that on Good Reads so will add them individually. This was probably my favorite of the four stories.

i think it is one of my favorite books. it is the story of hope, trust and belief. Hannah knows that Christmas is a time for gifts and presents. but soon figures out that miracles do exist.

This book was fairly easy to read and I didn't feel very realistic. It is supposed to get you to have faith but I guess I didn't feel that it got the point across. Cute story.

Love the Red Glove series. This one will tug at your heart strings as you consider all those fighting for our freedom. Quick read but "worth it" read.

I enjoyed reading Hannah's Hope by Karen Kingsbury but not as much as Sarah's Song. Easy reading, single plot and as always a good ending. Barbara

This is a Christmas story. A fast read that is a nice mushy feel good story. Kingsbury is a Christian writer so there is a faith/prayer aspect.

If you're a kid and under fifteen, you'll enjoy this. Not my cup of tea but if you can't sleep, it's a nice way of spending the night.

This book was just ok. I think it must be for young adults and teens. I may try one of Ms. Kingsbury's more adult audience books sometime.

okay, i lied when i said "fame" was the first karen kingsbury book i read. this was it -- a book that caught my eye in the fiction section of my local library, appealing in its short novella length. i didn't even know it was christian fiction until i started reading. many tears but not too many pages later, i was finished, and thus began my current addiction to karen kingsbury novels (good thing she's prolific!). :P

Lights out, read by candle light. I really liked this book. It was warm and fuzzy, a nice Christmas Story and "red gloves". The only disagreement with the author, is that believing doesn't always get you through the circumstance. Faith in Jesus Christ is what counts. Four stars and a good read. Would read it again! "R"
