It was cute. Admittedly, I didn't check this out for the history of photobooths. I just wanted to see the photos. Looking at them made me think of the French film, Amelie. Something interesting about looking at the faces of total strangers that paid money to sit in booth to have their picture taken. It also reminded me of Gunter Grass' Tin Drum, when these two guys would go back to a photobooth, repeatedly, near a pub, getting their pictures taken. I've been lamenting to friends for years now about how sad I am that photobooths are a lost art. I've always loved them and I still drag whomever I'm with into them on the rare occasions I find one. This was a lovely book to skim through.
