¿Qué puedo decir? ¿Qué me ha faltado profundidad? Es la primera novela que leo de esta autora y, aunque la trama está bien, su pluma no me ha terminado de convencer.

On the back cover of this book is a review I should have paid close attention to. As it was, I didn't see it until after I had inhaled this book. Katy Kelly from USA Today wrote, "PRETEND YOU DON'T SEE HER should come with a warning. Start it in the evening and you'll be reading way late into the night ... This one is well worth the lost sleep."

I picked up this book at 11:30 p.m., on my way to bed. I was just going to look at it. OMG, my husband came out at 4 a.m. & touched my shoulder. He s

One of my favourites. It got a tad bit frustrating at times, but the mystery was handled really well. The red herrings were artfully placed. The tension got my heart pounding, even though this was my fourth time reading it in 10 years. (Yes, I have a pretty bad memory, so I forgot who the killer was. Hahaha!)

Mary Higgins Clark never fails to excite. I finished the book of over 300 pages in 2 days-- over half in a few hours. I loved the plot and I could not put the book down.
If I have any complaints, it is the number of characters. I am awful with names, so when a book has close to 50 characters, things get jumbled in my mind. For instance, it was difficult to keep Tom and Tim separate. The number of characters also led to my inability to fully enjoy the resolution of the novel. When the murderer wa

I like Mary Higgemins Clark. I know what I'm going to get with her - good old fashioned suspense. A mystery that's never easy to figure out and satisfying in the end. This book is no exception. Clark writes characters that I like - all of them - even the bad guys who I don't suspect. The bad guys I know about are evil and sinister - the way they they should be.

Quick synopsis - Lacey Farrell is a witness to a murder. She is the only one who can identify the man and now her life is at risk. She's

Honestly, I am so frustrated. This book is so wildly improbable that I cannot see HOW I ever enjoyed it. This book also makes me seriously question my judgement, as Mary Higgins Clark was once my favorite mystery authors.

Lacey witnesses a murder, she is placed in witness protection, she almost immediately gives away her location to her mother, who lacks the discretion or common sense to keep that information to herself. The city that Lacey is placed in just happens to be where two people who kn

A poor attempt at mystery/thriller. I've read some of MHC's books so I'm quite familiar with the way she writes but this book is just frustratingly stupid that I just skimmed the book in under an hour. There are inconsistencies that bothered me and the poorly researched police actions just doesn't make sense. I can't believe I wasted my time reading this.

Okay, firstly the names of the characters were so out of place. I read half of the book and it was going nowhere.

Since the beginning of the story, I felt like it was a flop Crime Thriller movie. Everything was way too dramatic.

And why everyone's full names were being repeated three times in a single small paragraph??? No.

Wow Another Brilliant book. This is my second read for Mary Higgins Clarke and definintely not the last. I love how she chooses songs as titles for her books.
I doubted who is the killer and I was correct.

My review:
I thought this book was average. It is definitely not one of my favorite books I have ever read. I was never excited to read on, but I didn't want to stop reading it either. One positive is it never seemed to be boring to me. There was not really any slow part of the book. You know the parts in books where you are just tell

This was an enjoyable mystery/thriller by Mary Higgins Clark. It had only some minor inconsistencies, the pacing was tight, the mood was tense, the story was plausible enough, and the romance was sweet. I liked it.

Lacey Farrell lives in Manhattan and is a real estate agent. One day she is witness to the murder of Isabelle Waring, whose daughter, Heather, was killed in a car accident.
Isabelle's last dying words to Lacey were to make her promise to give her daughter's journal to her father, and asked her to read it too. Isabelle was convinced that Heather's death was not an accident. So Lacey takes the journal, gives the original copy to the police, gives a copy to Heather's father, and makes a copy for her

PRETEND YOU DON'T SEE HER - Okay
Clark, Mary Higgins - standalone

A young woman assigned to the federal witness programme to save her from almost certain death, realizes that once she has unexpectedly fallen in love, she can no longer live a lie. However, before she can marry she must go back and reclaim her identity, whatever perils await her.

I don't know whether her writing or my taste has changed but I don't find her books as solid or suspenseful as I once did. Some of her early books scared me

The nice thing about Mary Higgins Clark is that she's very dependable. You know exactly what you're going to get when you pick up one of her books. There's a certain class to her characters and writing that I appreciate very much. I'm never blindsided by foul language or explicit scenes. Her characters are the kind of people who don't wear jeans, and if they exercise, I imagine they wear designer velour workout gear. It's like stepping into another world, and it's kind of fun. However, I mainly ...more

There is a very thin line between friends and enemies. Mary Higgins Clark's book Pretend You Don't See Her, stresses the idea that your closest friends can be your worst of enemies. Throughout this very mysterious and exciting book, Clark emphasizes that realizing everyone is not as whom they seem is extremely important.

Clark shows the difficulties one may face when they come to realize someone very close has betrayed them. She uses a character by the name of “Lacey Farrell” to show and express

Me encantó!

In the story Pretend You Don't See Her by Mary Higgins Clark realizing that everyone is not always who they seem is very important. Real estate agent Lacey Farrell never thought that her job was dangerous. But after seeing a woman getting shot in the house she was selling she realizes that she was dead wrong. Now the murderer is after her, getting put in the Witness Protection Program may not be very helpful either because not everyone is who the seem, " The now familiar voice seemed strained an
