Loved this book. The focus was on Lew Fields and his "creation" of the Popular Broadway Musical" whether true or not (and I am not sure they proved it in the 800+ pages) was still fascinating. Having read this along with a Joseph Jefferson Biography and The Lost Broadway Theatre and the biography of Beatrice Little, many of the stories cross and you can definitely see veiwpoints from different angles.
