So having read seven Clique books, it's only fair that I leave a review! My first impression of this series was that it was a fun pseudo-gossip girl that I could enjoy while waiting for my ankle to heal. Well it was fun and it's grown on me.

The first book seemed like a very serious attempt at classifying every Westchesterite as either snobby and rich or snobby and pretentious, Massie being the worst of them all. But after a while, the stories focused less on the nose jobs and cars and more on t

It's Not Easy Being Mean, by Lisi Harrison, is the seventh novel in the Clique series. The childish story is about the drama that is brought about when the Pretty Committee is one of the many cliques given the opportunity of a lifetime, by 8th grade Alpha, Skye. Being the leader of the Pretty Committee, Massie Block does everything in her extensive power to get the key to the "secret room," provided by Skye in a series of challenging riddles and rules. However, because Massie and the Pretty Com ...more

This book is about a group of seventh grade girls belonging to a clique called the Pretty Committee. They receive a challenge to go on a "scavenger hunt" to find a key to a secret room in the school that only the coolest eighth graders can use. The majority of the book revolves around the girls competing with other cliques to find the hidden key. They use clues from the riddle-like poem provided to them by the coolest 8th grade girl to go to different boys' bedrooms and look under their mattress ...more

i think that this book was a very interesting book. this book is about these girls in the seventh grade trying to find the key to be an alpha. the only problem is that the girl that hid the key said that " since its the fifth anniversary of the room, im going to break the tradition and do something different. instead of automatically handing the key down to the 7th grade alpha, i sent 4 more cdrooms to all the losers so they could have a chance to become alpha if they find the key."

It's Not Easy Being Mean is about the Pretty Committee getting back into OCD after being expelled. When they returned eighth grade alpha, Skye Hamilton had hid a key that unlocks the legendary secret room. The key had been passed down from alpha to alpha but now Skye wanted to change it up. Skye said that its hidden in a Briarwood Boys bedroom, but which one? All the Pretty Committee cares about is finding that key. But will they get or will another Clique beat them to it?

This is the seventh book in the series. 8th grade alpha female, Skye, has the key to the secret room in OCD and the Pretty Committee needs to get it. The problem is that Skye won't tell them where it is hidden and any girl can find it. The Pretty Committee is off on a scavenger hunt on a race against time for this key, otherwise the PC will be ruined for the rest of their lives. More trouble and drama for the 7th grade girls

When several girls in seventh grade received a CD ROM from Skye Hamilton, eighth grade alpha, telling them to find the key to the secret room, Massie is determined to be the one to find it. But then Layne Abeley becomes so close to finding it; Massie tells Layne to give her the key. Layne gives her conditions. 1. Bring Claire back in the PC even though she has those bushy eyebrows for her movie. 2. Act like you like Layne in public. 3. Invite Layne to sleepover once a month and let her be in cha ...more

Dial L for Loser 's ending left me wanting to read more. It was also a foreshadow on what this book is going to be about.

To star, this book starts off with the Pretty Committee being back in OCD, better than ever and ready to rock the halls once again. But maybe, just maybe not for long.

This book introduces eight grader Alpha, Skye Hamilton who sent off a scavenger hunt to the key which unlocks the ultimate paradise that the Pretty Committee must have to keep their popular status and rule eight

The Pretty Committee are back in OCD, after a 3-week suspension and a wild Hollywood adventure and they're ready to dominate 7th-grade again.

But when the five girls recieves an envelope from 8th-grader alpha, Skye Hamilton, telling them to find the legendary secret room hidden beneath the OCD campus, where it's a place for the real alphas of their school.

It will only be a piece of cake for Massie, but Skye told them that the key to the room is hidden in one of the

It's Not Easy Being Mean was a pretty good book. I mostly enjoyed the book because I like Drama stories. This book was a pretty good book over all. Especially when I can relate to the stories.
In Lisi Harrison’s “It’s Not Easy Being Mean,” shows that there is a lot of drama that goes on between girls in High School. Most of the time in High School, girls are jealous of other girls because of what they have in life. There are four girls in this book that have totally different lives. Kristen Grego

This book was still great considering I love the series, but its just not the best I've read. It is about the girls looking for a key to a secret room in their school. Although that may seem exciting, it really doesn't make much sense. Most people would agree that there probably isn't a secret room at any school that is student accessible. Therefore the story lacks reality. The voice on the other hand is great. She really gives the characters specific details that really

The pretty committee thought for sure that they would find the key to the heavenly room, but who could be sure when Losers Beyond Repair (LBR) like Layne Abeley are looking for the key too. The key was to a room at Octavian Country Day’s that staff didn’t know about and only O.C.D’s eighth grade alphas were given the key. However Skye Hamilton was the alpha Massie was in seventh grade, and Skye made a riddle to find it so Massie and

Watch out!The Clique is back and bigger then ever. This suspenseful book is filled with lying, cheating and most of all, girls trying to claw their way to the top

When Claire Lyons comes back in a shower of fame and adorers, Massie Block couldn't be more irritated. This, with the combined weight of the Kristen,Dylan, and Alicia , is driving her onto the edge of insanity.

It’s Not Easy Being Mean is the seventh book in The Clique series by Lisi Harrison. This book is one of my favourite of the series so far but unfortunately being only 190 pages it was one of the smaller books of the series so it didn’t take me long to read.

After their expulsion from school, the Pretty Committee, are back and ready to take over the school. At the start of their year they have a challenge to achieve set by Skye, an Alpha, who the Pretty Committee look up too. This totally secret c

First Reactions:
This book belongs to a series of novels beginning with The Clique. It's not something I would generally pick up due to the fact that it's about a gang that thinks they are better than everyone else, but for some reason I did pick up the books and enjoy the nice, short, light read.

I could picture the characters going to my school, if they weren't rich that is. Massie is the head of the Pretty Committee and her followers are also her BFFs. Alicia, Dylan, Kristen and then Claire,

It's Not Easy Being Mean is #7 of Lisi Harrison's The Clique, revolving around the "Pretty Committee," the most powerful and exclusive clique of the all-girls Octavian Country Day School of Westchester, NY. In this book, The Clique returns to form - which unfortunately means a return of the glorification of bratty behavior, bullying, tween sexualization and dry, flat narrative.

Plot: Claire Lyons returns from filming "Dial L for Loser" and contemplates leaving OCD behind entirely in favor of a p

I read this book so fast that I didn’t even memorize the title before i finished it. the pretty committee is busy going to boy's houses to look under their beds for the key to unlock the legendary room at OCD for the secret hang out spot meanwhile Claire is busy trying to decide whether to move to Hollywood or not for shooting “Dial L for Loser”. It's Not Easy Being Mean starts us off where the last book left us off. The plot of this was one of the most interesting of all of the clique series, probably because of their determination to win the prize. I really enjoyed reading this book, because it finally allows readers to actually view how insecure the Pretty Committee is even though they are so popular and are basically worshiped by their classmates. This book didn;t dissapoint me and made me want to read the eighth book of the series. ...more

The Clique by Lisi Harrison is about 200 pages and is for people who love drama. It's also for people who love girly books. Massie's group of friends act very old for their age. They also have tons of drama in their lives.

This book is about Massie and her group of friends trying to find a key. If they find the key, then they will be 8th grade alphas. They get to have this secret room only for alphas. They will also be able to get all the 8th grade alpha guys to like them. The catch is that a bun

I think this book was hard to read only because it was very detailed in the wording like"ehmagawd" weid spelling. But i agree with the title it is not easy being mean. sometimes it may be but sometimes it is not. None of the characters related to me because they were all preppy and im not. Also because most of the girls in there are rich with a celebrity parent or a role in a movie.
