As a fan of the paranormal, I thoroughly enjoyed Blue Moon Rising with its exotic settings in the swampland of South Caroline, its sexy hero, Nick Antropos, a shapeshifter who turns to wolf and is out to preserve his clan and protect Rae Haskell, the woman of his dreams and his Lykoian soul mate, against his clan's enemy, a centuries old werewolf, who seeks control and domination at the expense of Rae's life. Vivid images of the swampland with its assortment of characters including a ...more

I had won this book from the author and really enjoyed it from start to finish. Though it's about werewolves it does have some interesting twists the author came up that made it a cool read with unexpected twists in the plot. The main characters were fascinating, and the hero is hot, brooding, mysterious and protective. My kind of guy. I also like the heroine-- she was flawed, but stronger than she realized, and she's loyal to her family and friends. The action, especially at the end, is kick ...more

I found this story to be a bit too long and drawn out to my taste. Not enough intimate interaction between main characters. Each and every time things seemed to be about to get really hot and heavy there was an interruption. It almost started to feel as if there was some sort of conspiracy going on to prevent the characters from becoming more intimate. The plot was otherwise well written but it was just lacking in steam and I felt like the characters didn't really connect until the end.

Tara Nina is a southern transplant living in a quiet corner of New Jersey. People think of NJ as the armpit of the nation. But, believe it or not… black bears, deer, gorgeous hawks and other fantastic wildlife manage to sneak by her three dogs at least once or twice a week.
If she’s lucky, she actually takes a moment to enjoy the beauty of nature before tackling the task of mother to her two teenag
