There is no denying that fifteen-year-old Dominic Smith is a huge fan of Plastic – a pop group headed by an attractive slash style goddess slash lead singer, Lisa Void. He doesn’t just know every word and every note of all their songs, he devotes most of his time on all things Plastic. To Dominic, becoming a part of Plastic fandom makes him part of something special, something great and good. So when he got stuck inside the elevator with none other THE Lisa Void, Dominic became this ball of euph...more

Without a doubt, the best YA book I read in 2009 and one of my all-time YA favorites. It's fluff, but it's well-done fluff. I've read three of Mr. Cheshire's books, and this one sees him at his best. Smart and brisk, he lets the story unfold naturally in a not-linear style that works. While there's much of the same (slightly nerdy guy and a girl) as in his other books, that's only part of this story, which also pulls in pop culture and the questions that often haunt not only teens but also twent...more

Fifteen-year old Dominic "Sherlock" Smith is a pretty normal guy. He lives at home in England with his mom and dad (who both are quick to remind him that they have very demanding jobs that keep them away from home a lot), a younger brother, Seb, and his always-ailing Grandad and hippie-loving Granny. He has a close circle of friends which include Amazon-looking girly-girl Tanya, raging sinusitis Tim, and concert-pianist-aspiring Emma. But there is one thing abo...more

Dominic is crazy about a pop band called Plastic, what gets him really interested is Lisa Voyd the band's lead singer. He thinks that she is a goddess and her voice makes his heart melt. Dominic was in love with this band every since he first heard their song. Ever since then he knows every note and every words of every song that they have ever written. He was their number 1 fan. But when Dominic gets trapped in the elevator with Lisa Voyd, it was like a dream come true...well gone bad. She was...more

Ok, here we have a dedicated fan of a pop music group. He doesn't normally buy into the whole pop music fandom thing usually, but this group is different to him. And it just so happens, he gets stuck in an elevator with the lead singer one day. Who turns out to be ruder than her otherwise star image lets you believe. Big surprise there. It gets a little confusing at times, because the chapters alternate between now in the elevator, and the past - stories of how much of a fan he is. Predictable,...more

bacanya emang sampe selesai sih. tapi, kok aku ga ngerti sama ceritanya ya?

Huhuhuhu. Tapi lumayan lah... ada 'pesan'-nya tersendiri, walaupun standar.
