A very good resource book. The photos were high quality. Probably the best photography I have seen in a plant based book. If you want to make a perennial garden, consult with this book to get you started and to keep you on track when it comes to plant selection.
Color photos, descriptions, and recommendations of plants for Midwestern gardens.
Most of them require full sun and well-drained soil, which we do not have.
I liked it, but not outstanding.

This was an enjoyable read, in that all of the plants presented are suitable for our zone. A great resource for anyone planning a perennial
garden in the Midwest.

I'm always on the look-out for flowering perennials for shade. This is an encyclopedia in style & has good, usable info.
