Having two story time performers is great when sharing books. Each performer traded off reading one page, then the other.
Piggy Pie Po likes to dance (voice 1)
When he wears his party pants. (voice 2)
If he wears his rubber fins (voice 1)
Piggy Pie Po swims and swims. (voice 2 as performer 1 leads group in swimming motions).
When he wears his yellow coat (voice 1)
Piggy Pie Po likes to boat. (voice 2 as performer 1 leads the group in singing the action song "Row, row, row your boat").
And so forth. We...more

Piggy Pie Poe loves to dance when he wears his party pants.
Solid. Fun and silly--both in story and illustrations. The rhyme scheme isn't exactly there--yep, like a true English major I wrote it out ABAB style and it's lacking a pattern--and there's a couple of awkward ones (pimpernel in a preschool book, huh?) but mostly I see a cute, cheerful, goofy book that'll work with preschool, kindergarten, and maybe 1st.

The Woods consistently produce picture books that are not hip or trendy. Instead their work is the timeless sort that endures because they know just what kids like. And what's wrong with naked Piggy heading for his bath? Kids will LOVE that picture. Nothing they like more to do than run around starkers while a grown up chases after them :D
A cute story of Piggy Pie Po who can do many things. However he cannot tie his shoes...yet. When he gets home, no one is home, so he decides to eat on his own. He makes quite a mess.
A humorous story and great for read-alouds.

bright and colorful, short sentences of rhyme. Some confusion as to the picture not relating to the text. Hmmm. Ok, so now I see there are three stories contained within this very short picture book. However, confusion with the big number three as the text reads..."at half past nine..." Maybe smaller chapter numbers or putting them on pages separate from the actually story...

Ages 2 and up. This book consists of a few simple stories that rhyme and include topics of counting, reading, and telling time. The ECRR skill that stood out with this book is phonological awareness. It's a fun quick read that has a nice rhythm.
Audrey and Don Wood offer three short stories about Piggy Pie and his adventures. Simple rhymes and bright, playful illustrations will appeal to young readers.

Great for beginning readers!
Not my favorite of their collaborations, but a fine addition. I enjoyed the short stories and the way the rhyme and the next action were pushed onto the following page so that children could anticipate what was going to happen next.
