Marca
Well-written and researched true crime novel. Killer is not a wild-eyed, bushy-haired monster, but a well-educated, intelligent, but incredibly arrogant and egotistical s.o.b. He is scarier than a wild-eyed, bushy-haired monster.

This non-fiction account of a sexual killer, from a seasoned true crime writer, was involving from the first chapter. His story and the story of his victims, their families and the woman who fought back was incredibly intriguing. If you like real crime stories, you won't want to miss this one. Yes, it's 500 pages, but reads quick, full of details about the trials and the killer's own words and interviews.

Recommends it for: people that like true crime stories.
This book was very interesting. I have to say that even though I feel Ned was guilty, I don't think he received a fair trial. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't get a new trial. I didn't think there was any evidence linking him to the murder of Carmen. It was obvious that the judge didn't like him. The evidence that she wouldn't let in the trial would have probably gave him a not guilty from the jury.

A guy in the Ted Bundy mold - in fact, Bundy was this guy's hero. It is a miracle that more women aren't taken in b the kind of murderers who are charming and soft-spoken and appeal to...oh it is just too creepy. A look in depth at three of his victims - and he just did it over and over and over. Nightmare-inducing.
