This is a real insiders view of Irish music. I'm a fairly knowledgeable fan, and there are plenty of groups and recordings I'd not heard of here. And lots of tidbits about the history and development of the music. This is generally a well-written and well-planned series of music book, but Irish Music stands out as one of the best.[return][return]One caveat: some of the recordings discussed may not be easy to find.
