I enjoyed reading this short book with a focus on books and people who like to read. The story is told by short journal entries by the bachelor brothers who operate a bed and breakfast and also by their guests. The literary references were interesting, and I was glad to see Alice Munro included on a popularity list.

This is such a funny book. wish I knew where this bed & breakfast inn was. I'd check in and not check out. The main characters are 2 twin bachelor brothers, a cat named Waffle and a parrot called Rochestor. the book is made up little essays from the twins and comments in the guest book from their visitors.

Nice little book. The story is situated in an unusual place. The B&B is described as a fantastic place. It`s hard to believe it exists only in fiction.

I liked the notes of visitors and their stories. The whole idea was wonderful, only that some stories were boring to me.

Fuzzy Canadian comforting reading, in which two unmarried brothers run a bed and breakfast for bibliophiles. Manages to stay just to this side of twee, thanks to a hint of loneliness and melancholia. There’s a sequel, too, which I may get to eventually.

First heard parts of this on CBC radio (probably on the author's radio show, although I don't remember for sure). Then bought a copy for myself. Such a warm, comfortable read. Contains the best banana muffin recipe.

A totally delightful book about a pair of eccentric brothers who operate a Bed & Breakfast. Literate, warm, and humorous - the perfect book for a cozy day by the fire!

I truly found this book to be more entertaining than the title allows. Very, breath-of-fresh-air feeling.
