A very good book by two authorities on the subject of the use of nuclear material for power generation and weapons; promoting the former and restricting the latter. Unfortunately my knowledge of physics and chemistry is too weak to understand the science of radioactive decay and its effect on living organisms that was necessary to an understanding of the arguments in the book.

Informative and interesting, and also, written in such a way as to be understandable to people who don't know all that much about nuclear physics.
